Online Learning at the KFA - 2021

Following the last full UK lockdown in 2020, the Academy launched a full review of its online teaching and learning programme to ensure that all necessary lessons were learned before any future lockdown was enforced.  Pexels burst 374720 lb

Having to switch to this provision was a key part of our planning and preparation during the Autumn Term and, through unfortunate circumstances of Covid-19 outbreaks, we were able to test our readiness during that time, especially for the Upper School.  Therefore, when the latest lockdown was announced at very short notice, the Academy’s plans were ready and were implemented immediately.  They have been successfully launched and are running successfully.  However, we continue to review our current provision and the senior team are regularly attending online lessons in order to ensure that we are offering the best that we can.

Our aim is to provide a combination of face-to-face online teaching alongside a steady programme of independent work for our pupils based on this teaching (and previous learning).

Our EAL, AAL and SEND programmes are also operating online in parallel and in support of the timetable.
