IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)

The KFA is an authorised PYP (Primary Years Programme) School. The PYP curriculum framework, designed for children aged 3 – 12 years, focuses on the development of the whole child, as expressed in the main learning themes of the programme: Who we are; where we are in time and place; how we express ourselves; how the world works; how we organize ourselves; sharing the planet.

IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)

The KFA is a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme and will be implementing the programme in September 2012. The Middle Years Programme is a programme of study designed to meet the educational requirements of students aged between 11 and 16 years. The programme consists of eight subject groups integrated through five areas of interaction that provide a framework for learning within and across the subjects.

IB Diploma Programme (IBDP)

The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous two-year course which is bold, broad and balanced designed to meet the educational needs of students aged 16 – 19 years. It was developed out of best practice from a variety of international pre-university programmes, combining academic depth with subject breadth. The overall objective is to produce ‘active learners, well-rounded individuals and engaged world citizens.
