2010 is the Silver Jubilee year for The King Fahad Academy. This year the Academy will be completing 25 years. Being founded in 1985, the Academy has come a long way in its aspiration to provide a world class education to its diverse student body.

We will be celebrating this auspicious occasion with a series of activities which will take place during the remainder of this academic year.

Open Evening

On September 29, King Fahad Academy hosted its annual Open House to parents for the 2009-2010 school year. Dr. Sumaya Alyusuf opened the evening with a welcome address and brief review of the Academy’s mission and goals.

Safeguarding Policy
The King Fahad Academy (KFA) recognises that the welfare of the children is paramount and takes seriously its responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people in its care.

Raising Concerns and Resolving Complaints
From time to time parents, and others connected with the school, will become aware of matters which cause them concern. To encourage resolution of such situations the school has adopted a “General Complaints Procedure”.

Diverse Britain
The King Fahad Academy has been featured in a book entitled "Diverse Britain".  According to Prime Minister Gordon Brown this book, published by St. James's House 'showcases a wide range of initiatives that are increasing opportunities and breaking down barriers between public, private and third sectors, bringing people together and helping to build a fairer and more equal Britain.'  You may download a copy of the article here.
 
Eid & National Day Celebrations

This year Eid Al-Fitr and Saudi National Day celebrations were held on the same day.  All the students were involved in preparing presentations and assemblies to mark the two special occasions.
